As your mayor, these are my pledges to the people of West Yorkshire. Keeping us on track to deliver a brighter region that works for all.

My pledges to West Yorkshire

  • To deliver a Serious Violence Strategy to tackle the serious violence on our streets, with a Child-First lens
  • To begin a programme to insulate every social home in West Yorkshire
  • To build 5,000 new affordable homes by 2028
  • To ensure access to culture and grassroots sport for every child
  • To develop West Yorkshire as a ‘region of learning’ with a new skills and training system
  • To bring every bus in the region under public control by 2028 
  • To get spades in the ground on a mass transit system by 2028

  1. 1000 Green Jobs in West Yorkshire 

    Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire, is looking for businesses to pledge their support to offer young people training and opportunities to create 1,000 skilled, well paid, green jobs for young people and make our region net zero by 2038. Register your details below.

    West Yorkshire’s first-ever Manufacturing Task Force brings together representatives from manufacturing companies and alliances to assess the manufacturing landscape and identify opportunities to support the continued growth of the sector.

We share the ambition of creating a region where women can achieve their career potential and have access to job opportunities in inclusive workplaces.
