West Yorkshire Mayor Tracy Brabin statement on Harehills sentencing
Three men have been jailed for arson and violent disorder during an incident which saw a bus set on fire in Harehills on July 18th, 2024.

Speaking on the sentencing, Tracy Brabin said:
"I saw first-hand the impact that this violent disorder had on the community, and I am pleased that justice has now been served.
"Whilst a minority of mindless individuals looked to cause chaos, the people of Harehills stepped up and worked tirelessly to restore calm to their neighbourhood.
"Thank you to all those involved in securing these convictions. Violence like this will not be tolerated here in West Yorkshire."
Iustin Dobre and Mark Mitchell were jailed for six years for arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered and violent disorder at Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday 1st, October.
Milan Zamostny was jailed for five years and four months for arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered and violent disorder.
