Out of 763 seats inspected across 25 events this summer, only 280 were deemed safe.
The events were organised by the West Yorkshire Vision Zero Partnership in collaboration with Good Egg Safety CIC.
Following the findings of the events, parents and guardians are being encouraged to double check their seats.
More advice about fitting, choosing and buying child car seats, as well as video guides can be found on Good Egg Safety's website.
More information on the laws around child seat use can also be found on the Government's website.
All the events for 2024 have now taken place but we are hoping to arrange further events in 2025.
