Aims of this programme are to:
- Commencing the construction of 5,400 homes by March 2025

Project overview
Citu Phase 1b is the development of 142 homes in the South Bank area of Leeds City centre.
The homes comprise; 54 four bed homes, 42 one bed apartments and 45 two bed apartments.
It is stated that 13 of the units will be for sale through Leeds Community Homes (affordable housing), within the Climate Innovation District.
The scheme promotes housing choice and diversity; there is a critical shortage of affordable tenured products within the City Centre and this scheme will promote increased social welfare, health and wellbeing.
Energy use will be tangible through innovative digital technologies to promote an environmentally conscious way of living.

- Former Pontefract Fire Station Redevelopment

Project overview
The former Fire Station redevelopment, at the junction of Stuart Street and Newport Street in Pontefract Town Centre, is now completed.
It regenerated a brownfield site to create a new landmark building, providing 100% affordable housing. The 3-storey building comprises 37 apartments, 26 car parking spaces and associated landscaping.
The scheme incorporates electric vehicle charging points, along with bicycle stores to promote the use of sustainable transport. The site is located within Pontefract Town Centre and is within short walking distance of Pontefract bus station.

- Jackson Quarry, Knottingley

Project overview
The Jackson Quarry development will comprise 175 new houses and 2 retail units on the site of a former quarry in Knottingley, Wakefield.
The development offers sustainable travel by being close to rail and bus networks between Leeds and Wakefield and surrounding areas. Provision is being made for the dwellings to have electric vehicle charging points installed, and the site will benefit from PV panels to reduce the energy consumption.
An ecology area will be provided on the site with a walkway, and this will include four ponds for great crested newts, to further enhance ecology in the area.

Project overview
The first phase of Points Cross will deliver 311 apartments which are to be 100% affordable.
The development will provide photovoltaic panels which will generate enough energy to supply the first phase of the development with renewable energy in its entirety.
The proposed building design will accommodate carbon savings directly through the design and construction process. Electric vehicle charging points and drop off points for car sharing will be supplied, along with dedicated spaces for a car club.
The development will also be fully integrated with a new bus stop and dedicated bus lane to promote sustainable travel.

Regent Street is the development of 185 apartments, of which 37 are affordable in the North of Leeds City centre.
The scheme proposes to develop homes within an 11-storey building, with cycle spaces and 3 electric vehicle charging points which can be accessed via 6 car parking spaces.
Green Living Walls are also a feature of this development. The development aims to reduce the carbon footprint through the provision of photovoltaic panels, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and connection to the Leeds Pipes District Heating Network infrastructure, which will provide the development with renewable energy.

The Manchester Road scheme consists of two brownfield sites at Croscombe Walk and Elsdon Grove in Bradford City Centre.
The development proposal includes a mixed tenure residential development of 108 high quality, affordable homes comprising of including 54 affordable rent units, 31 for shared ownership units and 23 rent to buy units.
The development is close to the train station, the market, and all city centre amenities.
With decent space standards and improved fabric insulation, the homes will be energy efficient resulting lower energy bills by 2025.

The Crosley Wood scheme will develop 93 new homes in the Bingley area of Bradford.
The homes will be a combination of 50% affordable rent, 25% shared ownership and 25% market sales and comprise of 81 new low-rise homes and 12 apartments.
The development will consist of improved fabric insulation and the use of photovoltaic panels, which will result in energy efficient homes and lower energy bills. 12 cycle spaces will be provided, along with electric vehicle charging points on all car parking spaces.
The scheme will also benefit from a Residential Travel Plan Fund which will promote sustainable travel.

- Former City Reach, Leeds

Project overview
Former City Reach is a major residential-led mixed-use redevelopment scheme located to the south west of Leeds City Centre.
The scheme will deliver 806 new homes of which 238 are affordable. A new riverside walkway and cycle/footbridge across the River Aire will be developed, to encourage cycling and walking, plus provisions for cycle parking spaces and a resident’s car club.
Energy efficiency measures will be included in the building designs, including air source heat pumps, along with new green outdoor space.
The scheme will provide 10 modular homes for homeless people on the site, during the initial development years.

Project overview
Points Cross Phase 2 is located in the Southbank Regeneration and Innovation District of Leeds, an emerging housing location with good transport links and just a short walk to the City Centre.
The second phase of the scheme will deliver 183 apartments across Block C and develop 1.44 hectares of a large 2.64 hectare brownfield scheme on the edge of Leeds City Centre site. The vacant brownfield land had a former car sales and repair garage either side of Chadwick Street.
Phase 2 also includes the construction of the underground car parking facility, 559sqm of commercial space, gardens and landscaping.

The Saxton Lane scheme will deliver 204 affordable rented homes consisting of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments within the Leeds area. The scheme will regenerate 0.18 hectares of brownfield land and contribute towards Leeds City Council’s ambition to deliver over 1000 new affordable homes a year.
The building will be 100% electric without a gas supply. 198 of the homes will be to EPC B standard. 62 of the homes will be M4(2) accessible and adapted dwellings and a further 3 homes will be M4(3) wheelchair user dwellings.
The homes will encourage sustainable forms of transport through installation of secure cycle parking.

Project overview
The Seacroft & Gipton project is helping to address some of the significant pressures of the Leeds housing market, with over 26,000 applicants currently on the housing register and more than 12,000 of those actively seeking more suitable accommodation.
All homes delivered will be 100% affordable general needs accommodation with a mixture of apartments, bungalows and 1 - 4 bedroom houses, to meet housing need for Gipton and Seacroft. 88 new homes will be delivered, consisting of 25nr 1 bed apartments in a 5-storey block, 27nr 2 bed houses, 21nr 3 bed houses, 13nr 4 bed houses and 2 bungalows.
The construction contract will support 12 local people into employment and provide opportunities for 6 apprentices. A total of 10% of the development's energy requirement will be provided via a ‘Fabric First’ approach, including installation of Air Source Heat Pumps which will provide heating and hot water to all 88 dwellings.

The Sky Gardens project will deliver a new iconic high-specification residential-led development that will become a new major feature on the Leeds city skyline.
Located in Holbeck, the Preferred Option development will see the full refurbishment of the important Grade II Listed Midland Mills, alongside the creation of a new 33-storey iconic Midland Tower for residential use with 306 apartments created.

The Water Lane project is a multi-level residential development of 375 apartments, 19 of which are affordable, with associated hard and soft landscaping and rooftop amenity space, at a site on land off Water Lane in Holbeck, to the South of Leeds City Centre.
The proposed scheme is a vibrant new residential development anchored around a high quality pedestrian centred public realm with a strong sense of place. The proposal focuses on residents’ experience and features varied and engaging amenity spaces creating a sense of community and ultimately, a sustainable, well occupied quarter of the city. The scheme includes stepped blocks of 2 to 26 storeys, with residential blocks connected by communal and service areas.
The development provides over 650m2 of internal amenity space and 866m2 of external amenity space and associated landscaping, including rooftop gardens. There will also be 46 external and undercroft car parking spaces, each with EV charging, and 220 cycle spaces.

The development at Cow Green will comprise 122 high quality and energy efficient build-to-rent apartments in Halifax Town Centre.
The housing development will involve the installation of renewable technologies (PV panels and Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery) to deliver carbon reductions and includes the provision of 8 electric vehicle charging points and 128 secure cycle storage spaces.
In addition to these, the scheme will deliver 28 car parking spaces (3 of which will be accessible), 2 motorcycle spaces and secure bin storage.

Located within Bradford City Centre’s Goitside Conservation Area, Galem House is a 19th Century former textile warehouse building.
The property became vacant in the early 2000s, suffered severe fire damage and has remained unused, derelict and unsafe ever since.
The Combined Authority is funding 77 new apartment homes and regenerate a former brownfield site of 0.13 acres / 0.053 hectares.
