- A660 Holt Lane

Project overview
This scheme will improve the intersection of Holt Lane / A660 Otley Road in Adel, north of Lawnswood roundabout.
The scheme, which has now been delivered, involved replacing the existing priority junction with a signalised junction incorporating adaptive signals to detect traffic. This will reduce delays for high frequency bus services that turn right out of Holt Lane onto the A660.
Installation of Microprocessor Optimised Vehicle Actuation (MOVA) within the signals enables priority to be given to buses on all approaches so that express services that pass through the junction on the A660 are not impact.

- A660 Signal Improvements

Project overview
This project will improve the traffic signals on the A660 across a number of junctions from the A660 junction with Spen Approach to the pedestrian crossing south of North Hill Road. The works will help to reduce congestion along strategic routes by adapting traffic signal timings to the traffic flow. The new signals system will improve coordination between traffic signal-controlled junction for general traffic. This will reduce the number of stops that vehicles have to make.
The works are funded through the Leeds Public Transport Investment Programme and will provide improvements at three junctions and seven pedestrian crossings.

This scheme will deliver a series of improvements to the bus, pedestrian, and cycling infrastructure, as well as improve the urban environment to transform the Corn Exchange into a world class Gateway to Leeds city centre. Changes to the highway structure, bus gates, and bus re-routing measures will improve end to end bus journey times and bus service reliability.

Project overview
The scheme will transform the area into a World-Class Gateway to Leeds city centre for bus users, pedestrians and cycle users. This will enable bus services to operate with fewer delays and provide high standard waiting facilities for bus users. Connectivity for pedestrians and cycle users will be enhanced, making the area safer and more inclusive. It will feature high quality public realm, which improves the townscape and enhances the setting of heritage assets, which will make the centre more welcoming and attractive for visitors, residents and employees.

Project overview
This project will upgrade the traffic signals at junctions along the inner section of the A65 to the northwest of Leeds city centre between the junction with the B6157 and the Inner Ring Road. The project aims to improve journey times for bus services along the corridor as well as increasing bus patronage.
