Mayor's Safer Communities Fund - Grant Round 8
Grant round 8 of the Mayors Safer Communities Fund will open on 6 June 2025 with approximately £350,000 available. The grant round will support projects and interventions which will help deliver the priorities and themes in the Police and Crime Plan 24-28.
We will especially welcome applications which support the Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise sector, this includes grassroots/ small VCFSE organisations. So, we are looking for projects which support community led safety which includes funding for training, projects that enable volunteers to enhance and support service or project delivery to develop their skills, knowledge and self-confidence, volunteer led projects/interventions including manager, staffing costs, volunteer coordination costs and costs which support engaging with the sector to tackle or prevent crime and improve community safety.
We will also be supporting Clear, Hold, Build, which is a framework developed by the Home Office to help police forces tackle serious and organised crime. It reclaims and rebuilds neighbourhoods affected by organised crime, makes areas safer and increases public confidence in the police and partner agencies.
Applications under Clear, Hold, Build are restricted to projects delivering in Bradford (BD3 only), Calderdale (Park Ward only), Kirklees (Ashbrow only) and Leeds (Harehills only).
The Mayor recognises that the Build element of this initiative directly supports safer communities.
Note: The Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund can only support applications which have a strong policing, crime and community safety link.
You must read the guidance notes before submitting your final application: Guidance Notes
